Parker County Women's and Newcomers' Club, headquartered in Weatherford, Texas (about 25 miles west of Fort Worth) was founded in 1975 for the purpose of meeting the needs of Weatherford newcomers. Membership was later expanded to include all women of Parker County.

The group exists to promote social and service contacts. Regular meetings are held monthly and consist of a business meeting, luncheon, and program. Click here for some details of the monthly  meetings.

PCWNC's main service focus is a Weatherford College scholarship program.

Club members may choose to participate in a range of special interest activities, including card and board games of all types, Bible study. movies, exploring the area, sewing, antique hunting, and health matters.

The organization's theme for 2012-13 is "The Owl". President Jackie Dixon says:

"The owl's meaning is symbolic of our club.  These words describe every member: wisdom, mystery, transition, messages, intelligence, protection and secrets."
